You all know American Studies is an open field. Too open, some might say, but I think positively. So this blog is open to any related field. History, anthropology, American lit, sociology, art history, you name it. But it is especially for those of us, graduate students mostly, who have a background somewhere in Europe and who have come to the US for some high quality education and are now desperately looking for support in finishing their degree. Those of us who know how hard it is to find the support (and funding!) that is so crucial to our success.
I am posting stuff that is relevant for us, scholarships, calls for papers, grants, prizes, colloquia, summer schools – everything that somehow related or particularly open or attractive to students with European background. Let’s see where this gets us…
